‘Let’s grow together’ is CooperVision’s overall theme for the British Contact Lens Association’s (BCLA) clinical conference and exhibition in Liverpool this week (29–31 May).

Focusing on partnership and vision, the contact lens manufacturer, a partner sponsor of the event, will share its perspective on helping practitioners grow their practice.

Delegates are invited to visit stand 24 to experience CooperVision’s ‘quintessential country garden,’ complete with croquet lawn and botanical bar. The stand will provide the setting for a number of interactive events and activities, as well as business track sessions offering key insights into how practitioners can grow their practice.

The conference will be underpinned by two key presentations; the partner presentation and the partner showcase.

The partner presentation, taking place on Friday (29 May) at 5.30pm, will be led by CooperVision’s European professional services director, Sue Cockayne (pictured).

Ms Cockayne will chart the evolution of daily disposable contact lenses, whilst also looking at how today’s products are addressing the needs of wearers, with comfort, convenience and health at the top of the agenda. The presentation will include a review of CooperVision’s MyDay contact lenses, as well as the world’s first and only full range of silicone hydrogel daily disposable contact lenses, clariti 1 day.

CooperVision’s Marathon of comfort partner showcase presentation will take place on Sunday (31 May) at 11am. CooperVision’s professional services training manager, Elizabeth Lumb, will focus on frequent replacement contact lenses and seek to equip practitioners with the tools to provide contact lens wearers with the best possible comfort experience.

On Saturday (30 May), CooperVision’s European head of customer marketing, Jason Burkinshaw, will be drawing on his 15 years of experience at Coca-Cola as part of the business track. He will expand on CooperVision’s recently commissioned YouGov survey results to provide valuable insights into customer loyalty and the impact of this on practitioners and their business growth.

Daily disposable contact lens fitting will be held on the stand, showcasing CooperVision’s newly expanded portfolio. There will also be the big reveal of the winning entry in the recent Life Enhancing Contact Lenses competition and a celebratory Champagne reception on the stand on Friday from 6pm.

Commenting on the conference, CooperVision president for Europe, Mark Harty, said: “We believe that this year is going to be an extremely exciting BCLA event for us here at CooperVision. We are delighted to be focusing on our customer pledge, ‘Let’s grow together’ and sharing our unique partnership approach with delegates.

“The event is a must-attend for anyone working in the optical industry as it’s a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come together to learn from the expert opinion leaders, network with peers, meet suppliers and pick up new skills.”
