Colour Swatch launched for custom contact lenses

Cantor + Nissel creates guide in response to customer requests

Colour Swatch launched for custom contact lenses
Independent custom contact lens manufacturer Cantor + Nissel has launched its new ‘Nissel Custom 100 Colour Swatch,’ which has been specially created for contact lens practitioners.

The aim is to enable a more detailed colour match for the patient, ensuring a more natural, hand painted custom contact lens.

The ‘Colour Swatch’ has been developed as a result of customer requests for an alternative to using photographs.

The new tool is in addition to the recently launched ‘Cantor Prosthetic Colour Guide’.

Cantor + Nissel’s production and administration director, Garth Barnard, told OT: “The swatches are a fantastic alternative to using photographic images and are proving to be very popular. Customers just choose the colour that matches their patient’s good eye, tell us the colour of the bad eye, and a custom, hand painted lens will typically be dispatched within 14 days.”

Professional services manager, Phil Tansley, added: “After months of designing and ensuring the we have the best 100 iris designs for customers to choose from, we now have a colour guide which is simple to use. By holding the guide next to the patient’s eye, they are able to accurately match the iris colour required.”

The new products will be promoted at the BCLA Clinical Conference and Exhibition later this month (29–31 May, ACC Liverpool).
