Vision Express hosted a spa event for consumer journalists to mark the launch of Johnson & Johnson’s one-day Acuvue Define contact lens in its practices across the UK.
Held at the multiple’s branch on Oxford Street, London, last month, the event attracted more than 20 consumer journalists from titles such as Grazia and Hello!. During the launch, they were given the opportunity to trial the new contact lens, as well as have a personal make-up consultation with celebrity make-up artist Collette Casey.
Visitors were also invited to take part in the contact lens manufacturer’s Eye Define Studio, which used digital technology to demonstrate how the lens can accentuate the eyes.
Senior head of product at Vision Express, Cheryl Perkins, said: “The eye health spa was a resounding success with many of our media guests and customers feeding back that the one-day Acuvue Define range exquisitely enhanced the natural beauty of their eyes. We are now excited to see how well our customers respond to the range, across our network of over 390 stores in the UK and Ireland.”
Marketing manager for Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Ruth Graesser, added: “The opportunity for guests to trial the lenses at this event with Vision Express meant they could see for themselves the difference the lenses make in enhancing the natural eye. It is always an overwhelmingly positive experience.”
