A food fundraising match

London restaurant will donate £1 to charity for every diner it serves this month

National sight loss charity Fight for Sight has teamed up with a top London restaurant for its latest fundraising initiative.

Dans le Noir has pledged to donate £1 for every diner that it serves throughout March to the charity.

The Clerkenwell-based restaurant specialises in offering its customers a sensory dining experience, with diners eating and drinking in the dark.

Hosted and served by visually impaired waiting staff, diners are seated on shared tables to encourage people to engage with others they have not met before, while also learning about blindness and disability.

Having opened in 2006, Dans le Noir works with individuals impacted by a disability, with around half their staff and servers affected by a visual impairment.
