A charity that provides free sight tests and spectacles to homeless people across the UK is seeking volunteers.

Vision Care for Homeless People (VCHP) specifically requires optometrist volunteers for its Birmingham clinic, which is held in Digbeth every Monday between 9am–1pm. The charity is also seeking senior volunteers for its local leadership teams, that are designed to oversee its London and Brighton-based clinics.

Addressing the charity’s need for volunteers, VCHP general manager, David Brown, said: “We are a volunteer led charity. Volunteers join us in key roles right across the organisation and are involved in all aspects of our operation, administration and governance.”
