Vision Aid Overseas (VAO) is calling for runners to take part in the 2016 Great Ethiopian Run on 20 November.
The 10k route takes runners through the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, which is Africa’s highest city at 2300 metres above sea level.
VAO sent a team of 36 runners to the race last year and raised more than £90,000 for the charity. One practitioner who took part said after the race that it was “profoundly life changing. An epic event and experience on every level. This is something everyone needs to do at least once in their lifetime.”
