Jewellery designer Nicholas King has teamed up with eyewear company London Retro to produce a limited edition range of spectacles and sunglasses in order to raise funds for the eye care charity Orbis.

The collection of eyewear, which heavily features the designer’s signature embellished detailing, is available to purchase from online retailer Glasses Direct. It includes four styles which are each available in black, silver and gold.

Frames in the collection retail at £90, with all profits donated directly to Orbis.

Speaking about the collaboration, Mr King said: “As a jeweller and designer it is always wonderful when someone gives you the opportunity to learn something new, and the challenge of whittling down my collection and choosing iconic themes, and then translating them into eyewear was one I took on with relish and abandon.

“I have been so excited to have teamed up with London Retro to launch this capsule collection, especially as money raised goes to aid Orbis, an amazing charity helping people all over the world access specialist eye care, where they otherwise would not.”

Corporate partnerships officer at Orbis, Jaymie Duke, added: “Orbis is delighted to be continuing its partnership with Glasses Direct through its London Retro range of glasses. Having supported us since 2008, we are excited to be benefiting from their latest collaboration with Nicholas King. The money raised will go a long way to ensuring equal access to eye care in the countries which are most in need."
