Nominations open for Astbury award
Vision 2020 UK is calling for nominations for its Astbury Award

For the first time, nominations have opened for Vision 2020’s Astbury Award.
Named after the former chair of Vision 2020 and its inaugural recipient, Nick Astbury, the award recognises work which furthers collaboration with the eye health and sight loss sectors. Nominations are welcome from individuals and organisations, as well as a for specific eye health programme or piece of work.
Mr Astbury received the award in recognition of his six year term as chair of Vision 2020 UK, as well as, for “a career in which his lead in fostering collaboration has made a significant impact.”
CEO of Vision 2020 UK, Mercy Jeyasingham, said: “We are delighted to announce we will be recognising the hard work, commitment and dedication of those working in the eye health and sight loss sector. The Astbury Award will build on the excellent foundation of effective and collaborative working fostered by Nick. We invite representatives from all of our member organisations to join us in celebrating and recognising the benefits of partnership working across the whole sector.”
