Chair of InSight Devon, Chris Sumner, will deliver the keynote address at this year’s Vision UK conference, organisers have confirmed.

Themed Working together to deliver the UK Vision Strategy, the one-day annual event will take place at Central Hall in Westminster, London on June 18. Now in its seventh year, a new format will be introduced at the conference, allowing delegates to choose from one of five lecture streams which are focused around delivering different aspects of the UK Vision Strategy.

As well as volunteering for Action for Blind, Mr Sumner is chair of the Brixham Blind and VI Club and the Torbay Parents Participation Forum.

Senior manager of the UK Vision Strategy, Katherine Raven, said: “We are delighted Chris will be joining us at Vision UK 2015. Chris’s work in Devon and Torbay is a fantastic example of how the outcomes of the UK Vision Strategy can be delivered at a local level. He will provide valuable insight to Vision UK 2015 delegates about how he has worked collaboratively to ensure service users are placed at the centre of health and social care delivery.”
