Optometrist cycles across China for charity

Robert Glass covered 315km to raise funds for the charity Norwood

Robert Glass
A Manchester-based optometrist has cycled 315km from Guilin to Yangzhou in China for charity.

Optometrist and independent practice owner, Robert Glass, completed the fundraising challenge for Norwood, a charity that works with over 4000 vulnerable children and their families, adults with learning disabilities and children with special needs.

In preparation for the six-day challenge Mr Glass’ training consisted of three spin classes a week at his local gym, alongside 30-mile rides every Sunday for over a month leading up to the trip.

Mr Glass was one of 13 cyclists to take part in the ride and has raised more than £3000 for the charity.
