Glasgow Caledonian vision science students attend annual Eyeball

Student at Glasgow Eyeball
Optometry undergraduates at Glasgow Caledonian University hosted its annual Eyeball celebrations to mark the end of the academic year last month.

Held at the Grand Central Hotel, Glasgow on 19 May, 180 vision science students and staff attended the event.

The evening featured a charity raffle that raised £1320 for Reverse Rett, Scottish War Blinded AMD The Visual Research Trust.

Optical distributer Louis Stone donated prism bars to the raffle, which were won by third year orthoptics student, Reagan Lang. Speaking about the prize, Ms Lang said: “I am very grateful to have won the prism bars. I cannot wait to use them in clinic whilst I’m on my summer block placement.”

The evening was organised by the Glasgow Caledonian Optics Society.
