Scrivens recognises strategy director

Scrivens Opticians and Hearing Care has recognised the achievements of its strategy director, Pat Bulger, who has worked for the independent for 21 years.

Mr Bulger has received the Sasha Georgevic Award in recognition of the key contribution he has made to the growth on the business.

The accolade is awarded annually in memory of Scrivens’ late chairman, the father to present chairman, Nicholas Georgevic and director Mark Georgevic.

Speaking about the award, Nicholas Georgevic said: “Since Pat joined us at the beginning of 1998, he has been instrumental in professionalising the management of our retail business. All of our current regional management team have been the beneficiaries of his excellent coaching and guidance, as have many of those working in our branches.”

On receiving the award, Mr Bulger said: “I am honoured to receive such a special award. I have consistently worked with great, passionate and dedicated people and seen the company grow over the years to become a truly national one, while retaining its unique family feel and roots in the Midlands.”
