Optometrist Andrea Salgado (pictured) has been appointed as a screening specialist at independent opticians Cameron Optometry.
In her new role at the Edinburgh-based opticians, Ms Salgado will operate the pre-screening department within the practice, performing a range of tests and scans to evaluate patients' eye health. Using equipment such as the Optos Daytona, the optometrist will be the first port of call for patients arriving in practice for an appointment.
Cameron Optometry managing director, Ian Cameron, said: “We are delighted to welcome Andrea to the practice. Her role is essential to ensuring that we are able to develop a detailed picture of each patient's eyes, which is essential for us in making any diagnoses.”
He added: “We are fortunate to have such a highly qualified individual working in our pre-screenings department, and her experience is hugely beneficial to our optometrists and patients alike."
