Aston University has launched a biannual e-newsletter to keep alumni informed of developments within the School of Optometry.
The publication will feature interviews, research news, details of specialist clinics, and postgraduate opportunities.
Graduates of Aston University who would like to receive the e-newsletter should check that their contact details are up to date on through the university website. Alternatively, they can email [email protected].
Head of the School of Optometry at Aston University, Professor James Wolffsohn, shared that while Aston University already has an active database of optometry alumni, the university is looking to engage with former students to understand the challenges and changes in clinical practice.
He added that this will help the university to better teach and prepare students for their future careers.
“We would also like to hear from ex-students about what they are doing now to inspire the next generation of eye care practitioners and to let them know about what their lecturers are up to and opportunities to collaborate with the Aston School of Optometry,“ Wolffsohn said.
