A £500 prize is on offer for ideas that apply technological innovation to ophthalmic education.
The competition is part of The Digital Ophthalmic Student; an upcoming teaching and learning symposium hosted by University College London (UCL) and Moorfields Eye Hospital.
Undergraduate students, postgraduate students, early career researchers and ophthalmic professionals are invited to submit a 500-word paper on an idea that aims to improve education through technology.
Professor Nora Ann Colton, joint director of education at UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and Moorfields Eye Hospital, highlighted that the institutions are always looking for ways to improve ophthalmic education.
“This prize is a great way to recognise innovative ideas that utilise the latest digital technologies to allow ophthalmic students to learn in the most effective way and become excellent ophthalmic practitioners,” she said.
