OT  went along to the launch of Essilor’s Bespoke programme to find out what the service offers

Essilor showcased its new Bespoke programme at an evening networking event at More London (24 October).

The service is designed for independent practices looking to keep pace with the latest technology.

Essilor has formed a dedicated consultancy team for Bespoke to work directly with practices on marketing, as well as developing new skills and implementing growth strategies.

Senior Bespoke consultant at Essilor, Brian Halliday, explained to OT that the programme is a way of “differentiating what the independent offers” from multiples and other independent practices.

He added that with Bespoke, “you’re making a compelling reason for people to come and visit your store.”   

Speaking to OT at the launch event, optometrist at Specs of Kensington, Daska Barnett, said: “It has elevated our game so we are now able to offer products that we couldn’t offer before. We have business support, which for any independent business that is tight on resources, has to be a good thing.”
