Essilor has unveiled its Bespoke programme, a new service for independents that equips the practice with the latest technology.
The programme has been launched in recognition of the rate at which technology moves and how the optical sector needs to keep pace with it.
Essilor said that there is a growing appetite for personalised products and consumers are actively seeking places to buy them. However, it added that most independents are not able to fulfil these needs and are missing out on potential growth.
Commercial director at Essilor, Randeep Gill, explained: “By becoming an Essilor Bespoke practice, opticians will be able to complement their current care with enhanced commercial training and highly innovative technology. This will help them to dispense the best in class Bespoke lenses.”
Practices will have Essilor’s Visioffice 2 measuring system installed as well as digital advertising displays when they sign up to the programme.
Essilor has formed a dedicated Bespoke consultancy team to work directly with practices on marketing, as well as developing new skills and implementing growth strategies.
“The 70 businesses that have already embarked on the journey show that the Bespoke programme has boosted competitive advantage and resulted in revenue growth,” Mr Gill added.
