Voting opens today for the AOP Awards 2018 with two new accolades, Health and Wellbeing Practice of the Year and Frame of the Year, being recognised for the first time.

Building on its previous success the Awards saw a 75% increase in unique entries this year, with the final shortlist being whittled down by a panel of 12 expert judges. Profiles of the successfully shortlisted nominees are now available to view on the AOP Awards pages, where members of the public and profession can vote in 12 out of 14 categories. Two categories, Frame of the Year and Product of the Year, will be voted on exclusively by members using a link emailed to them on 29 September.

A final category, the Lifetime Achievement award is selected by the AOP Chair of the Board, Michael George, and AOP Chief Executive, Henrietta Alderman.

Ms Alderman, commented: “With this year seeing more entries than ever before, our finalists have achieved so much by getting this far. I hope the profession will join me in showing their support and casting their vote.”

Voting will close at 2pm, on Tuesday, 12 December 2017 with the winners announced at a black tie awards ceremony on Sunday 28 January, which will once again take place at leading trade and education event 100% Optical.
