The Association of Optometrists held its very first Optometry Student Conference at Butlins, Skegness on November 1st & 2nd 2008.
The event offered students important career advice and guidance on their pre-registration year, as well as providing the opportunity to network with fellow Undergraduates from across the country. An exhibition gave students access to employers, industry and equipment suppliers (with the opportunity to win prizes too). Lectures were carefully designed to give delegates a chance to improve their clinical skills, hone their interview techniques, explore career options and much more!
A firework display kicked off the social programme for the Saturday evening followed by the first AOP Student Eye Ball!
