All optometry students (undergraduates and pre-registration trainees) are members of the Association of Optometrist free of charge.
The AOP wishes to help students during their undergraduate studies and pre-registration training.
To do so we will provide you with copies of OT, our fortnightly journal and other information.
Undergraduate optometry students
OT is sent to undergraduate students during term-time to your university department address. Copies are sent in boxes with each copy being addressed to a student, where your university has provided us with the names of all the optometry students in the department.
You should check with the Optometry Department or your student representatives as to where you can pick up your copy of OT.
In the event that we have not been provided with the names of all the optometry students at a university you may not be receiving OT. In this case, if you would like to receive a copy please e-mail your name, the university at which you are studying optometry, and the year you are in to the e-mail address below.
If you would like to receive occasional e-mails with information relevant to students, please let us have your e-mail address.
Please also let us have your home address so that we may keep in touch with you after you leave university.
Pre-registration trainees
If you would like to receive OT fortnightly during your pre-registration training period and a copy of our Members Handbook and other communications please let us have the information requested below.
