OT Student News

Each month in OT there is a Student News page dedicated to undergraduates and pre-registration students.  The page consists of stories relating to the optometry departments within the eight UK universities that offer a degree in Optometry (Anglia Ruskin, Aston, Bradford, Cardiff, City, Glasgow Caledonian, Manchester and Ulster).

The news published can be as specific as fundraising events, Eye Balls, new staff appointments and research scholarships, or about educational and clinical issues.  However, this is your page and your chance to clarify something that doesn't sit straight, or query a subject that's been nagging at you.  So whether you're perplexed about the new pre-registration period, disillusioned with drug regulations or just want to have your say, whatever the issue, our team at the Association of Optometrists (AOP) will do their utmost to answer your questions and publish your comments in OT.

There will be a quarterly prize of a volk lens or trial frame for the best letter and the winning letter will then be printed.

Ultimately you, the students, are the future generation of professionals and we want to try to make your student career as informative, stress free and enjoyable as possible.  So if you have something to say or want an answer to a question please email studentrep@aop.org.uk or talk to your University Student Rep.
