GOS sight test fees & voucher values

Sight test fee frozen for optometrists and ophthalmic medical practitioners (England, Wales and Northern Ireland only)

Despite consultations with representatives of the professions, the Secretary of State has determined that the NHS sight test fee for optometrists and ophthalmic medical practitioners will remain at £20.70 from 1 April 2010.

Domiciliary fee

The fees payable to optometrists and ophthalmic medical practitioners for NHS domiciliary visits is £36.46 for the first and second patient seen at one visit and £9.13 for third and subsequent patients.
