The Welsh Eye Care Initiative (WECI) is unique to Wales and aims to detect eye problems in susceptible individuals, to enable early assessment of acute eyesight problems and to provide a low vision service that is accessible for all. The fee for an Eye Health Examination or a PEARS examination is £40 and the fee for a low vision assessment is £67.
