Fire risk assessment

Under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 as amended, a competent person must carry out a fire safety risk assessment and implement and maintain a fire management plan for business premises. A “competent person” is a person with “relevant skills and knowledge”. the ROrder applies to England and Wales. Northern Ireland and Scotland have similar requirements under their own legislation.
