In an innovative move the Association of Optometrists and SECO – America’s Southern Eastern Congress of Optometrists – have put together a package that will allow UK practitioners visiting SECO for the first-time complementary delegate access worth up to $465.
The 2010 event, in Atlanta, Georgia will include 350 hours of multi-track continuous education and training, a 275-stand exhibition and a packed social programme.
There is a wide variety of optometry and optical education lectures and workshops which cover a wide range of topics, and delegates can then go online for more, as well as bringing all the course handouts home on via a CD- Rom.
The AOP has organised a travel and hotel package to compliment the free delegate pass and will assist you converting COPE credits into Vantage CET points for lectures you attend at SECO International.
Karen Sparrow, education advisor at the AOP, said: “If you have been to an optical conference in the UK you will be used to rubbing shoulders with a few hundred eye care practitioners.
“However Stateside everything is on a bigger scale from the burgers to cars so how about raising your game heading for Atlanta ,Georgia, this spring and mixing with 8500 delegates at the largest Optometry and Optics CET conference in the world - and doing it for free.”
SECO International runs from February 10-14 2010. For more information on the conference and the education programme click here and for more information and to register your interest or book contact Karen Sparrow on 0207 207 2194 or karensparrow@aop.org.uk.
