Board of Directors

The Board of Directors consists of eleven members elected by and from the General Council.

The Board:

• has responsibility under the Companies Acts for governance matters and the Association’s business
• is responsible for the proper disposition of the Association’s finances and other resources;
• sets the annual estimates and subscription levels of the Association;
• plans the Association’s strategies and policies;
• oversees and manages the business of the committees and audits their performance;
• appoints sub committees and working groups from time to time for special projects
• appoints the Chief Executive
• works with the Chief Executive and management team to ensure effective implementation of the Association’s programme.

The OT Publisher’s Committee is a sub-committee of the Board of Directors and is responsible to the Board for the management of the journal.

The Finance Committee is a sub-committee of the Board of Directors and is responsible to the Board for the management of the Association's finances.

The Remuneration Committee is a sub-committee of the Board of Directors and is responsible for setting the levels of remuneration for all staff and for councillors, committee members and officers of the Association.
