The Eye Health Alliance is a coalition of the optical bodies and other partners within the eye care sector working together to promote eye health for all.
Aims
Members of the EHA
The AOP is a founding member of the Eye Health Alliance which campaigns on public health issues surrounding eye care. The Alliance raises awareness of the health benefits of sight testing and the need to reduce preventable sight loss. Other members of the Alliance include the Association of British Dispensing Opticians, College of Optometrists, the Federation of Manufacturing Opticians, Federation of Ophthalmic and Dispensing Opticians, the General Optical Council, the LOC Support Unit, and charities such as the International Glaucoma Association, RNIB and SeeAbility.
EHA Events
As a member of the Health Hotel the Alliance will be attending the Political Party Conferences in September and early October where we will be involved in a series of events on the big health issues.
